A Notary Public is a public official commissioned by the state to serve as an impartial witness to the signing of important documents and preventing fraud. A Notary must verify the identity of individuals, witness signatures, make sure they understand what they are signing and ensure they are signing on their own free will. Notary's do not prove the truth or validity of the documents, but only verify the identity and willingness of the signers.

A mobile Notary Public is a Notary Public who travels to meet clients in-person.  We provide convenience for clients who cannot or do not want to go to a Notary’s office. We work on your schedule at a place that's convenient for you.

1. Book appointment.

2. Must have proper identification. 

3. Have document to be notarized. 

4. If document does not have notarization certificate, you must know the type of notarization needed. (Jurat, Acknowledgement, Signature witnessing or Copy Certification) *Seek info from person requiring notarized document. Notary cannot provide this information for you.

5. All signers must appear in person and have identification.

6. All signers must know what they are signing and must be signing on their own free will.

Massachusetts requires at least one current (not expired) document issued by a federal or state government agency bearing the photographic image of the individual’s face and signature. Ex: Driver's license, state ID, passport, military ID card, etc.

Documents must be signed and witnessed in the presence of the Notary. Please complete any documents/forms before scheduled appointment, keeping the signature and notary certificate blank until in the presence of the Notary.

The state of MA requires all Notary's to keep a journal record of all notarial acts.

We accept debit, credit cards, Zelle, Cash, Cash App, Venmo and PayPal. We do not accept personal checks.

Yes, Knights Notary Services can notarize documents in other languages as long as the notary certificate is in English; The language our notary can read and understand. It is not our job to prove the truth or validity of the documents, but only to verify the identity and willingness of the signers.

The time it takes to notarize a document depends on the complexity of the notarization and the number of documents to be notarized. We work efficiently to ensure that all documents are notarized in a timely manner. The estimated time for one document is about 15 minutes.

For fingerprinting services, you will need a valid state or federal issued form of ID. The process typically takes about 15 minutes. We provide the ink and FD-258 card. Upon completion, you'll be given the fingerprinted card in an envelope to mail out to the company requiring it. KNS does not provide mailing as an additional service.

KNS provides ink fingerprint services on a FD-258 card. 

This shouldn't happen but if it does, reach out to us via email with a copy of the letter stating the fingerprints failed. We will re-fingerprint at no additional costs and mail it to the designated agency as a courtesy. KNS will not accept any failed/error fingerprints after 30 days of initial service. 

- Appointments confirmed when deposit is paid or paid in full.

- Any additional charges (ie: extra stamp, parking, tolls, etc.) is due once service is completed.

- Must provide 24 hour's notice for cancellations. One reschedule accepted.

- After 15 minutes late your appointment is considered a NO SHOW and will be cancelled.

NO refunds if:

• If you do not have proper identification at time of appointment: Come prepared!
• If signers are not of legal capacity to execute document(s) during time of appointment.
• If you do not show up. After 15 minutes your appointment is considered a NO SHOW
• If appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hour's notice and no request to reschedule

No refunds on deposits. Deposits may transfer to 1 rescheduled appointment (Must be within 30 days)
